John Deere Skidders

Selecting the Right Skidder
At Papé Machinery, we offer two types of skidders: cable skidders and grapple skidders. The 648L cable skidder delivers impressive power for its size, but requires the operator (or additional worker) to hook the winch to the cut timber. While this may add labor and decrease site productivity, it is immensely useful when working on steep terrain or in areas that are difficult for a grapple skidder to reach. Alongside the cable skidder, we also offer four models of grapple skidders — varying in size, horsepower, and torque. The right machine for your operation will depend on the size and scope of your business, along with the required power needed to transport timber.
