Kipco Construction’s Partnership with Papé

Here at Papé Machinery Construction & Forestry, we take pride in providing exceptional customer service and custom-tailored equipment solutions. We create long-lasting relationships with leading businesses across the West, becoming key partners and consultants. We are thrilled to partner with Kipco Construction, and in this edition of the Papé Machinery Construction & Forestry blog, want to share Kipco’s experience working with us. Kipco Construction trusts Topcon and Papé Precision Technology, and we’re so happy we can provide them with the equipment solutions they need.

Meet Kipco Construction

Starting out in 1982 with only one backhoe, Kipco Construction has grown to serve Eugene, OR and the surrounding area’s sitework needs. With an updated fleet of graders, trucks, excavators, backhoes, loaders, dozers, and rollers, their machinery is now equipped with innovative technology that enables them to maximize their efficiency–and minimize environmental impact.

Adding GPS Technology

Kipco Construction is a small company, with a small crew, and they’re not looking to grow their teams exponentially. With the addition of GPS technology, Kipco has been able to stay lean while maximizing efficiency on the jobsite.

Kipco is currently working on an apartment complex in Eugene, Oregon called the Farmstead. They’re on 30 acres of land and with the addition of Topcon and GPS Precision Technology thanks to Papé, their operations are moving without a hitch. “If you look around the site, we’ve got 30 acres out here, and you won’t find a lath in the ground anywhere,” Kipco says.

With the GPS technology, they know where all the equipment is; how deep to cut; what their fills, cuts, and verticals are; and the accuracy is unmatched. This technological upgrade has eliminated the need for survey stakes and made their work faster and exceptionally precise.

The younger operators had no trouble quickly adapting to the new 3D model and technology, and quickly found out how much time they were saving. The older operators had some resistance at first, but quickly came to rely on the improved visibility, precision, and efficiency that came with the GPS technology.

Partnering with Papé

Kipco has loved partnering with Papé, and we’ve been able to match them with the right equipment and technology for their needs. Kipco loves that we don’t just sell them the system; we also install the system and provide ongoing support. We have team members running support lines who are always available, and the backend support has been of immeasurable value to Kipco Construction. According to Kipco, “The best thing about working with Papé is that they showed up within minutes if we had questions, and were the reason that we continued to purchase the equipment.”  We’re proud to serve you and keep your operations moving forward, Kipco!

Thank You, Kipco!

We’ve been thrilled to help Kipco transition to a more efficient and smooth-moving system as they integrate Topcon and precision technologies into their operations.
